Corrie Graven, Director, Principal Dancer, - ATS GS Certified: Cap'n Corrie Corrie Graven has been teaching ATS in the FatChance BellyDance Format for more than 13 years. Kashmir Dance Company was featured in Tribal Talk as a "Sister Tribe" years before there was officially such a thing. She has been dancing since the age of three with a back ground in ballet, tap, jazz, & modern dance, and more. Her oriental dance back ground is extensive having studied with Aziz, Jason Roque and Raffa in Traditional Old School BellyDance, and other various teachers in The Egyptian Cabaret Style. Fusion teachers include Rachel Brice, Mardi Love and Zoe Jakes of The Indigo, Kami Liddle of the Belly Dance Super Stars among many others - but her primary focus and true love remains her Mentor, the Goddess Carolena Nericcio of FatChanceBellyDance - who created Kashmir's principal focus of study and instruction - American Tribal Style Belly Dance. Corrie Teaches all advanced and performing level classes; Level 4 and performance preparation. 	Mary Nielsen - Principal Dancer, Instructor , ATS GS Certified. Mary is a principal dancer and has been with the Kashmir Dance Company for more than 10 years. She is directly responsible for the Kashmir School of Dance - having repeatedly suggested to Corrie that she teach her daughter Rebecca (former principal dancer) as she was unimpressed with the classes that she was currently involved with. Mary also has trained with Aziz and Raffa, many fusion teachers and Carolena Nericcio of FCBD. Mary has taught art classes for many years, teaching at the Salt Lake Art Academy (which is where, she met Aziz for the first time while he was modeling for their drawing classes); also teaching children to cultivate "their art" and how to set it free. As our master graphic designer, she is responsible for all the fantastic Kashmir show programs and our fabulous ads. She is also an active Girl Scout Leader and adult mentor. Mary currently teaches our Level 1 & Level 2 Beginning ATS classes and our very popular "Pay What You Can Afford" classes. Mary can be reached here.
Courtney Montgomery: Ana Kitka za Sofja - Principal Dancer, Instructor , ATS GS Certified Kitty is a principal dancer with the Kashmir Dance Company and has been belly dancing for 30 years, starting with the incomparable Aziz and traditional belly dance. She tried all styles of belly dance over the years, teaching traditional style and performing cabaret style until 2001, when she became "tribalized" and joined the Kashmir Dance Company and never looked back. Since then she has studied ATS extinsively. Kitty's "Voice of Chocolate" can be heard at most of the major belly dance events throughout Utah as Mistress of Ceremonies. Maren Kay Skye Walker - Principal Dancer Maren has been a Kashmir treasure since she joined us on stage for the first time, doing her own improv at the age of 2.
