After falling head over heels for American Tribal Style Belly Dance with its lush costuming and hypnotic styling, Corrie Walker and Joy Berrett formed the Kashmir Dance Company in 1996 .

Their electric stage presence, passionate and talented members, unique tribal stylings and imaginative productions have made them favorites among the tribal belly dance community. Their audience comes for a show - and are not disappointed!

As Utah's Principal American Tribal Style/Tribal Fusion Dance troupe, Kashmir Dance Company is about camaraderie, community and the excitement derived from the powerful energy brought by women meeting and dancing together for themselves first and foremost and then for others. This is a dance form that women of all body types and ages can enjoy. The emphasis of Kashmir Dance Company is one of women's power - embracing our dignity, strength, mystery, and sensuality. We continually cultivate our community and camaraderie both in and out of the studio. We strive to teach our students what a gift it is when we come together to dance.

Kashmir Dance Company works continually to bring Tribal Belly Dance to the Community of Salt Lake and beyond with weekly classes, workshops, and seminars, as well as with many outstanding performances at prestigious Utah venues.
